Using the 9102 spectrum analyzer to evaluate HD radio signals.

HD radio, or IBOC (in-band on-channel) technology is the development of new digital communication technologies which send high quality digital information over existing analog AM & FM radio signals. The HD radio signal transmits near-CD quality audio signals to special receivers along with digital information, including, song, artist identification, and local news information. This application note describes how to use the 9102 spectrum analyzer to view the HD signal, test for signal quality, and monitor spectral emissions.
