New NC1127A & NC1128A Noise Modules for Computing Equipment Market and Military
Posted July 26, 2007
Announcing the introduction of two new noise modules: the Noise Com NC1127A and NC1128A.
Noise Modules are favorable when wide-bandwidth-frequencies are required to test filters, electronic circuits or RF-systems, or to calibrate such by applying defined low power signals. Since a noise source generates instantly a complete band signal flat over the full frequency, complete frequency response can be measured with minimal downtime. With their white Gaussian frequency distribution, Noise Com’s noise modules are further utilized as a random jitter source for sophisticated technical performance measurements of high-speed-serial-data busses. These busses are quickly overtaking parallel bus standards in computers, cell phones, entertainment systems, test and measurement equipment and many other products because of their superior performance to cost ratio. Further utilization of Noise Com’s noise modules is as source for jamming signal generators as they are used for example to deflect missile guidance systems.
"Among a variety of other applications, NC1127A and NC1128A provide a veritable standard for IEEE 802.3ap 10 GBit/s Backplane Ethernet testing", says Dr. Wolfgang Damm, Director of Product Marketing at WTG. "With the addition of NC1127A and NC1128A, Noise Com follows its principles to offer our customers technology that is always the right fit for their sophisticated needs."
Both modules provide white Gaussian noise distribution with high output power and great flatness and both modules operate between -35 to +100 deg Celsius ( -31 to 212 F ).
NC1127A: Frequency range 10 MHz to 5 GHz, Output characteristics: -20dBm Power @ -117 dBm/Hz and a Flatness of typical +/- 2.5 dB.
NC1128A: Frequency range 10 MHz to 10 GHz, Output characteristics: -17dBm Power @ -117 dBm/Hz and a Flatness of typical +/- 2.5 dB.
