Measurement of Crest Factor at the Output of a Limiter

SuperUser Account 0 1516

Limiters are used to protect sensitive components such as LNAs and radar receivers. This demonstration shows the effect that limiters have on the crest factor of your signal as its level is increased. The pulse generator has an internal noise source which is used to simulate a WLAN or LTE signal. The UFX7000 is used to simulate an LNA, and shows how crest factor is affected as signal and noise levels are varied.

MTTS 2015 Noisecom UFX7000A Demonstration

SuperUser Account 0 1304

Product: Demonstrate the effect of broadband additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) on digital broadcast signalsusing the UFX7000A series. We show how the picture quality degrades as the noise level is increased (Eb/No decreased). Do you know how much noise your system can handle?

Noisecom Designcon 2015 J7000 & JV9000 Demonstration

SuperUser Account 0 1303

Product: Demonstrate the effect of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) on differential data lines by injecting AWGN using J7000. Separately demonstrate the effect of noise and spurs on Vcc by injecting AWGN and CW tones on DUT using JV9000 to the power supply voltage (Vcc) of DUT (data buffer IC) highlighting degradation in signal integrity. Combining both J7000 and JV9000 we demonstrate Noisecom’s ability to show the interaction between noise on data lines and Vcc.

Demonstrate the effect of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) & CW interference ridingon Vcc by injecting AWGN and CW tones on DUT using JV9000 to the power supply voltage (Vcc) of DUT, a 555 timer clocking circuit, highlighting degradation in signal integrity due to degradation in power integrity.
